Selecting the Right Finishes:
Selecting interior finishes and materials for a public recreation center requires careful
consideration. Materials such as flooring, wall coverings, restroom finishes, ceilings, etc.
need to be selected not only for their visual beauty, and appropriateness, but also for
their durability, low maintenance and longevity. Additionally, these materials should be
as sustainable as possible, without sacrificing function or being “greenwashed”. Since
