SDCA will not be taking on a new project for the 2023 year. We are taking this opportunity to rebuild our team and refine our approach for a better experience and product for all. We are extremely proud of all of our past projects and very grateful for all of the help and support we have had from our Board and our many Volunteers. We look forward to taking on a new project for 2024. Please contact us with any projects you may know of so we can plan ahead. We are also interested in anyone who will want to volunteer and help with SDCA’s work. Please join us this Saturday April 17th for our charette at Our Giving Garden at 10am. Please bring your creative minds, inspirational imagery, and your own supplies to sketch and draw.
If you are unable to attend the charette, we would still love for you to help us with deliverables. As always, please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. Look forward to see you there! We're excited to have you on board for this year's project! As you may or may not know, SDCA is an all-volunteer organization so we could not do what we do without each and every one of you!
All meeting will follow the COVID 19 guideline for the meeting and COVID 19 precautions will be enforced! Go ahead and mark your calendars for the following dates:
If you have any questions or would like to learn more, reach out to Delaram Tafreshian, our volunteer coordinator at [email protected] Again, welcome to our team! We have a great group of passionate folks who are making this world a bit better each day. We look forward to seeing you soon. Sustainable Design Collaborative- Atlanta (SDCA) has selected the RFP submitted by Our Giving Garden, as the 2021 project award.
Sustainable Design Collaborative Atlanta (SDCA), a team of representatives from the diverse building professions, collaborates on one specific community outreach project each year. As the selected project, SDCA will work side by side with leadership from Our Giving Garden to create a vision and plan for execution of their project. Visit ourgivinggarden.org for Our Giving Garden organization information and Visit sdcatlanta.org/projects.html for examples of previous projects. SDCA has volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds inclusive of: design research, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, engineering and construction. All hold a passion for advancing sustainability efforts with the built environment and enriching our community at large. They are a volunteer driven organization with members representing eight diverse building community organizations. They are connected by their desire to provide professional design services to the 99% of the human race that does not normally have the opportunity to fund these types of services. In 2010, they began awarding and completing one pro-bono project each year. Congratulations to Our Giving Garden for being selected as this year’s SDCA project! Per SDCA’s standard procedures, this collaborative work will begin immediately with completion in early fall 2021. |
